Look for the named show, doors time and performance time. A cabaret program may include dance, comedy or other stage acts, so read how the producer describes the evening. Check whether there is an interval and how late arrivals are seated. If the content or audience format matters to your group, ask before buying tickets.
Find out whether your ticket assigns a seat, admits you to a standing area or requires a separate table reservation. Ask whether your group can sit together and whether table service carries a minimum order. Save the booking terms and arrival instructions.
Listen for announcements about phones, photographs and audience participation. You can decline an invitation to take part. Keep comments and movement within the format the host sets, and let other guests see and hear the performance. Ask staff about a problem with seating or service during a suitable break.
