HOW WE KNOW

Sources matter.
Freshness does too.

A useful directory makes clear where information came from and what still needs confirmation.

Event updates.

The local implementation includes scheduled checks for Secrets Hideaway’s public dated event cards and Trapeze Fort Lauderdale’s public calendar exports. Source paths are checked against robots rules. Imports keep factual titles, dates, venue context and organizer links, not promotional descriptions or organizer images.

Calendar exports provide explicit timestamps; date-only sources remain date-only. A changed record is updated rather than rewriting the whole collection. If an organizer cannot be read reliably, the last successfully published collection remains available and freshness information shows its age.

Automatic checks have been tested locally. No cloud schedule is running until the site is deployed. The research snapshot was checked on October 9, 2026.

Coverage and limitations.

The first automated collection is limited and is not an exhaustive calendar. Missing events are not treated as cancellations. Source changes can require adapter maintenance. Future commercial feed partnerships and reuse terms should be reviewed before expanding distribution.

Corrections.

While this build is local, corrections can be made through the site owner. A monitored public reporting channel will be added before public submissions or reviews open.

The Journal: original introductory articles.

The 50 journal articles cover seven topics: nightclubs, bars, lifestyle clubs, adult entertainment, scenes and culture, relationships, and planning. They offer practical editorial context, rather than reports from venue visits. No article represents an inspection, a personal attendance claim or a guarantee about a particular event.

Broad category terms are starting points. Entry conditions, entertainment formats and conduct policies must be checked with the individual operator. Each article has a checklist and related reading. Terminology and selected planning resources were checked on October 9, 2026.

These references do not endorse AdultClub. Their scope and location-specific details should be read in context.

The national nightclub and bar directory.

Mainstream nightlife is the default. The directory imports named nightclubs, bars and pubs from OpenStreetMap state extracts provided by GeoMermaids and Geofabrik, with separate operator-source reviews. Map classifications and import dates are not evidence that every business is currently operating. Swinger and lifestyle records are separate and appear only after an explicit selection.
